Black Friday Competition Terms 2026
These are two separate competitions with different entry periods. All dates and times below are New Zealand time.
Win Your Order Back — Terms and Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter is Jakob Carter Limited (NZBN 9429049110067), trading as Jakob Carter, New Zealand. Contact: contact@jakobcarter.com.
2. Competition period
The competition runs from 2 November 2026 to 15 November 2026 inclusive, closing at 11:59pm on 15 November 2026. Orders must be placed during this period to qualify.
3. Who can enter
Entry is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or older with a New Zealand delivery address. Employees of the promoter and members of their immediate households are not eligible.
4. How to enter
Place a paid online retail order through the Jakob Carter website during the relevant competition period with an eligible product total of NZ$60 or more after discounts, including GST and excluding shipping. An order of exactly NZ$60 qualifies.
Each qualifying order receives one automatic entry. Multiple qualifying orders receive separate entries. There is no additional fee to enter, and entering does not require signing up for marketing.
5. Orders that do not qualify
Wholesale orders, orders containing only gift cards, cancelled orders, fraudulent orders and fully refunded orders are excluded. If an order is partially refunded before the draw, the remaining eligible product total must still be NZ$60 or more. These conditions do not limit a customer’s legal rights to a refund or other remedy.
6. Prize
There is one winner. The prize is a refund of the amount paid for the winning order, including GST and standard shipping, up to a maximum of NZ$250. Any refund already received for that order will be deducted when calculating the prize. If the eligible order amount exceeds NZ$250, the prize is NZ$250.
7. Winner selection and announcement
One winner will be selected randomly from all eligible entries on 17 November 2026, in New Zealand. Two reserve winners will also be selected. The winner will be contacted using the email address associated with their order.
The winner announcement is scheduled for 17 November 2026. Personal details will not be published without permission.
8. Claiming the prize
The selected winner must respond within seven days of the notification email being sent. If the winner does not respond within that period, is ineligible or declines the prize, the promoter may contact a reserve winner. Each reserve winner receives the same response period. The winner will never be required to pay a fee to claim the prize.
9. Processing the refund
The prize refund will be processed to the original payment method within five business days after eligibility is confirmed. The payment provider may take additional time to make the funds available.
10. Separate competition
This competition is separate from the Win a Year’s Supply of JC Fragrances competition running from 16–30 November 2026. An order placed during this competition period does not also qualify for the later competition. Customers may enter the later competition by placing a separate qualifying order during its entry period.
11. Privacy
Order and contact information will be used to check eligibility, conduct the draw, contact the winner and administer the prize, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Entry does not automatically subscribe an entrant to marketing. Any public use of the winner’s name, photograph or testimonial requires their permission.
12. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or other applicable New Zealand law. Receiving a prize does not require a customer to waive those rights.

The winner may select any fragrance in the JC 50ml range. “Year’s supply” means these six 50ml bottles; it does not include ongoing replenishment or unlimited refills. The prize is not exchangeable for cash.

The prize will be dispatched within ten business days after eligibility, the chosen scent and the delivery address are confirmed. If the chosen scent is unavailable, the promoter will agree a delivery date or an alternative scent with the winner before dispatch. No substitution will be made without the winner’s agreement. All six bottles will be sent together to one New Zealand address.
10. Separate competition
This competition is separate from the Win Your Order Back competition running from 2–15 November 2026. Orders placed before this competition opens do not qualify. Customers who entered the earlier competition may enter this competition by placing a separate qualifying order during 16–30 November.
